2. Information We Collect
We believe in minimal data footprint. We only collect the minimal information necessary to deliver our services:
- Account Authentication Details: When creating an account, we collect your name, email address, and registered WhatsApp phone number for passwordless dual OTP verification.
- Multi-Device Companion Credentials: To query group rosters and validate phone numbers, WAudience links via the official WhatsApp Multi-Device protocol. The cryptographic session keys are stored locally in isolated, encrypted token stores.
- Job History Data: Uploaded spreadsheets and temporary result files processed in the background are saved in your private user workspace so that you can download your Active and Dead CSV results.
3. What We Do NOT Collect (Absolute Privacy Boundaries)
- No Chat Content or Messages: We do NOT intercept, read, parse, or store your private chats, group conversations, audio recordings, or media files. All message contents remain end-to-end encrypted between your devices.
- No Data Brokering or Reselling: We never sell, rent, license, or aggregate the contact lists, phone numbers, or group rosters extracted through our platform.
- No Automated Spam Dispatches: WAudience does not send automated marketing messages or message pings to any phone number during validation.
4. Compliance with Indian DPDP Act 2023 & GDPR
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right to Erasure (Right to Be Forgotten): You can delete any task record, uploaded spreadsheet, or generated VCF/CSV file from your dashboard at any time. Clicking "Delete" permanently unlinks and removes the file from our storage.
- Right to Session Revocation: You can disconnect your WhatsApp session at any moment by unlinking WAudience directly from your WhatsApp mobile application under "Linked Devices".
- Data Portability: All processed datasets can be exported instantly into universal open standards (CSV, vCard 3.0).

- TLS 1.3 / SSL encrypted communication for all web and API traffic.
